Business for Development builds community development programs that increase livelihood opportunities for impoverished communities, in partnership with some of the world’s leading resource companies.

Our programs:

  • Address community ambitions for higher incomes
  • Develop diversified and sustainable economies beyond those linked to resource operations
  • Have broad reach in areas with high numbers of farmers
  • Build non-project economies; reducing pressure on the project to provide employment
  • Continue to have an impact after mine project closure and create post-mine economies

Through utilising the LINC model, we ensure that poor farming communities are connected into the supply chain of multinational food, agribusiness and retail companies. We also leverage the capabilities of these companies by providing impact communities with access to technical insights, access to market and long-term offtake partners to enhance social licence to operate initiatives.
